I remember my life as being filled with bitterness, pain, and despair. I felt like a failure, because I hadn’t been able to reach my goals in life. I hadn’t achieved the level of prosperity I sought, and I felt that I wasn’t offering much of worth to my children. This changed the day that I met Vivian, an angel that God brought into my life. She led me to Jesus, and my life was never the same again.
During one of her visits, I was in despair, filled with fear and anguish. She was the last person on earth I wanted to see, because she always ended up speaking to me about Jesus, and how He could supposedly fix everything. I couldn’t accept this, until I finally acknowledged that I needed help. That day I accepted Jesus into my life, and I cried like a child. From that point onwards, I felt the strength to make certain important decisions, which radically changed the course of my life. I stopped smoking my one pack of cigarettes a day and drinking half a litre of rum at night.
Today my life is hidden in Christ Jesus (Colossians 3:3). I can honestly say that “I once was blind, and now I see” (John 9:25). Thanks the to missionary work of the Family International, many people have received the opportunity to come to know the love of Christ. You have taught me to read the Bible, and to pray. Thank you for the help you have given me.
